So we just had Black Friday and now apparently tomorrow is Cyber Monday….which is supposed to be a really big online shopping day for Christmas stuff. Anyway, so to go with this theme, I found a great web site for all things unusual. Great stocking stuffers, and so much more. They also have pretty good prices. And some of the things are things I saw at Boo Radley’s in Spokane (like the stylish moustache kit seen below!). I love that place!

Here’s a link: http://www.spoonsisters.com/

Check out these cool items (and there’s so much more!):
“Butter Boy.”
Pick Your Nose Party Cups
Airplane Baby Spoon
Bottled Water Holder
Gingerbread Cookie Cutter (already eaten from)

I’ve finally put pictures up of my trip to Spokane. I tried to give a detailed description of each one. There’s mostly ones from our Roller Derby outing. So fun!!! You can leave comments on individual pics on Picasa, or you can come back here to comment or ask questions. Hint, hint.

So I haven’t written for a while mainly because there’s nothing to write about. We’ve been sick. The kids and I. Which means I’ve been mean and tired. Well, really I’m mean all the time, but now I’m tired too and have an excuse for both! Yay!

Also, I have some pics to share but just changed computers so I don’t have the ease of my old computer of putting pics up. Don’t give up on me. I will entertain you all soon enough. Ha!

I’m weird.

So it all started when Bella asked Dad if I could carry him. That led to whether Dad could carry me. Bella then informed Eric that she could carry her husband. He asked, “You have a husband?” To which Bella replies, “Yes!” Eric asks, “What’s his name?” Bella replies “Helvis.” No, that’s not a typo. It’s like Elvis, but with an H before it!

Of course, Eric then asked what Helvis’ last name is (because we thought with a great first name like Helvis there’s got to be some amazing last name). She replied that it is Schlange. Eric went over the whole “You can’t marry someone who is related to you so they will have a different last name than you have now” thing with her. She thought for a while (while Eric mentioned last names like Smith and Magilacuty) and decided it’s Helvis Starks. Eric’s reply, “Way to branch out from the family there, Bella.” She took it as a compliment.

My theory on this Mom who won a marathon 9 months after she gave birth was that she was racing other Mom’s who gave birth 9 months earlier! Notice no pics of the other runners (no one wants to see what a real mom’s body looks like in spandex!). Long live the muffin top!

So I came up with the following names for Brooke, my BFF who is now a roller derby girl (or at least is going to their practices, the season is about over). She’ll need a name come next season, so read what I wrote, give me some feedback, and then let me know if you think of anything. And it’s bad form to use anything that has to do with her real name.

Mo Yewdown (in honor of me, of course!)
Mel Choskin (She’s so fast your skin melts off!)
Jane Austickitoya (a shout out to beautiful books!)
Cinderhellyeah (I crack myself up!)
Star Kravingmad (her motif can be stars)
Fire Dup (at what point do I need to quit suggesting names that are more me than Brooke?)
Poison Ivy (probably already taken)
The BakeHer (She beats ‘em and bake’s ‘em til they’re done!) (*my personal fave)

So, bad news for fanatics of “The Office!” The writers went on strike!!! How could they? Don’t they even want to see what happens next? Come on! What has this world come to? I read that the last time the writers union went on strike they were on strike for 22 weeks! That’s 5 1/2 months!

The last time anyone went on strike and it affected me was the great baseball strike years upon years ago. I gave up watching baseball and don’t really care about it much anymore…..so I don’t know what’s going to happen with this one!

So I’m not really a fan of slippers but saw these in an LLBean magazine and thought they were pretty cool. If you’re wanting your special someone to buy you some for Christmas, they are only $30 and you can find them by clicking here (and there’s free shipping right now, but I don’t know how long that will last).

Yesterday we were driving around and Bella says to Eric, “Dad….you….are never mean….AND…..you are never foolish.”
Where she came up with that word, we may never know. So cute!

Bella makes up songs. I decided to write this one down. Hardly able to keep up with her singing… Just remember, you read it here first. All rights reserved. While reading it just keep doing a sing-songy slow melody and you’ll basically have the jist of it. Here goes…

Loving your neighbors
is always here to love you too.
I love my God. He’s our father forever. He will never stop loving us.
Your neighbor loves us.
They always here to love my prince (points to Noah).
He is always a handsome boy.
      His name is Noah.
      He wants to bow.
      BOW!
I know you Lord, forever.
Swimming mermaid all over the ocean.
He flipper.
      He won’t.
I know you Noah, my prince.
He loves to me.
      He loves me very much.
      Tap his head.
      I love him very much.
Go to sleep.
I look to spine.
Your God forever will bow.
