So Bella and I were talking about shoes and she said, “I’m talking about my Pink Pecans.” “Your what?” “My Pink Pecans. Oh, I mean, my Pink Cons.”

Seriously, if the girl is going to call them “pecans” she doesn’t get to wear them anymore!

Poor Chuck!

So I introduced Chicken Soup and Dumplings to Bella and Noah for the first time last night. Noah LOVED them. Bella didn’t. While Bella was eating the soup part though she asked me “Do you know what Ducklings are?” I said, “What are they?” She replies, “No, do you know what they are?” Me: “Yeeeees….” “She then asks, “Do ducklings have to be dead so they can make these with them?” Me: “What? Ooooooooh, no, Sweetie. These are DUMPlings, not DUCKlings. These are just biscuits in soup. They have nothing to do with ducks.” Bella: “Oh. Well, I still don’t like them.”

Last night it snowed a few more inches at our house, so today Bella and I went out while Noah napped (he does NOT like the snow!!!).

First Bella and I built a huge snowman. It would have been bigger but I couldn’t lift much more than I already did for his mid-section. One observation was that in all my life of living in Lake County I’ve never lived anywhere where once you were done building the snowman there was still plenty of snow on the ground. It finally happened here!

Then Bella and I walked around the house and took pictures. You can see more at my Picasa under “New House.”

Then we made snow angels and tried sledding, which didn’t work because we didn’t go up a big enough hill.

Then we walked around some more and took more pics when I came across some really cool tracks in the snow. At least, I thought they were cool until I realized they looked very much like they could be from the Mountain Lion that was spotted up by Boone’s house on Sunday. I rushed Bella inside since I hadn’t found out anything about Mountain Lions (do you curl up and play dead, or scream and yell and look big, or just run as fast as you can?). Anyway, after running inside and locking the door (who knows how smart these cats are!) I did research online. Tt was Mountain Lion tracks and you don’t run or crouch, you look as big as you can and even yell at it and throw rocks. In Eric’s words if you see a Mountain Lion “consider yourself lucky.” I’ll only do that if I see it from inside the house! With the doors all locked, of course.

So I’m on dial up now so this will be a random post. Oy.

We’re in our new place and love it. It’s cozy…and by that I mean it’s way bigger than we need (yay!). We’re nearly done unpacking.img_2423.jpg

We got snow last night. 6”! Supposed to snow another 6” tonight, so we’ll see how long I’ll be staying home….maybe until the end of this week? Our driveway has some steep spots that the car has a hard time with.

I’ve posted pics on my Picasa from the move and from the snow. Check them out!

Last night Noah burped and then said “WHOA!” I responded with a “Say ‘Excuse me!’” And he in turn said it! Of course, it came out “Hmeep hmeep” which is awesome because he totally did the Road Runner sound.

Then today I said to Bella “I love you” and Noah looks at her and says “Awe Duh Do.” So cute!!! This is the time of his life when his parents and sister (and sometimes not even them) are the only ones who know what he’s saying, but he IS talking. :)

I got a new cell phone so it’ll actually work at our new house. The number is 349-2383. Eric’s cell will remain the same so that he doesn’t have to change it on his business cards and such, Which, of course means that if he’s at our house you won’t be able to call him. He’ll check his messages though most nights.

It’s official. We’re in our new house in Kelseyville. I’m bloody tired right now though (just cleaned our old house for 9 hours and am still not done) so this is going to be brief. I’ll write more later.

On Friday we’ll get our phones hooked up. Our new # is 707-279-2210. Our new address is 10630 Bottle Roack Road, Kelseyville, 95451. I think our cell phone #s will be the same, but I’m not totally sure. And, I’ll be on dial up as soon as we get our phones (unless I’m in town snaking it from one of a few people who have wireless!).

More later, including pictures!

It’s 11pm on Friday night and we’re headed for bed. Everything’s packed. Yay! Eric has leadership team meeting in the morning before moving time (everyone’s coming over at 8:30), so I’ll be running around picking up breakfast for everyone, dropping the kids off, stripping beds, etc. No problem. I’ll just get up at 5….but that’s in 6 hours, so nevermind.

Wahooie!

This morning I came out to finish getting the kids ready to go and Bella was sitting in front of the heater with jeans and shoes on (no shirt or unds, btw). She was concentrating really hard on a book given to her by her Auntie Em, Uncle Dave, Cousin Lilla and Cousin Abram. It’s a book on how to tie your shoes. And let’s just say….she figured it out! I mean, I had to help her understand some of the things the illustration said, but by the time she went to preschool she had tied a good half dozen shoes.

Her problem area was her own Cons. She just could not get them….so I ripped the shoestrings off of my Cons and put them on hers. Now she can tie them and then has to stuff the extra 6 feet of lace into her shoe. Of course, I made her take her boots to school with her in case Miss Terrie and Miss Jeanne got tired of helping her with her extra long laces. They tie so many kids’ shoes each day it gets ridiculous.

Anyway, my “little girl” isn’t so little anymore. Oy! Time flies!

Well, I might throw up. We’re moving in 2 days. I’m totally overwhelmed with little last minute things all over the place that you can’t do until 2 days before you leave. Oy! Thankfully the big stuff is all done, and thankfully Eric’s coming home early on Friday. We have lists, so that helps too. Maybe I’m going to throw up because I haven’t eaten.

And what am I doing on here anyway? I need to go eat lunch (2 hours late) and do as much work as possible around here.

2 days until dial up! Good bye high speed. It was great while it lasted. I love you.
