So we finally took pictures of our new dog, Calvin. He’s a Shar Pei mix. He never has to be tied up because he hangs out at the house without needing to be. He’s a nice dog and the kids are getting more brave around him (Bella is braver than Noah. She even lets him eat a dog treat right out of her hand!). There are more pics on my picasa, so check them out!

So Friday afternoon I figure out that Noah came down with Chicken Pox. He has been vaccinated, but he got them anyway. The good thing about the vaccination is that he got a very mild case. He hasn’t even itched!

Then, on Sunday morning Bella woke up with Pink Eye. Seriously, I wanted to stamp “UNCLEAN” on all of our foreheads, just in case! We ended up having to move Easter Lunch to Bob & Gloria’s house at the last minute, and then Eric took the kids home after Easter in the Park while I went to the festivities. Eric’s so nice!!!

Oh, and did I mention that Eric has leprosy?

I haven’t written in a while. Maybe it’s because I’m on DIAL-UP! Maybe it’s because I found a new BFF (uh, not that a replaced you, Brooke!). Maybe it’s because I’m lazy. Okay, it is because I’m lazy.

Anyway, two things I wanted to write about today. First of all, Bella brought me a cup full of sand today and said, “I made you a cookie dough milkshake!” I decided she RULED until she told me what was in it…apparently she adds lime and 7UP! Nasty!

The other thing is, Noah made me so proud today. He finally started climbing all over the small rock pile in front of our house. Just in time for snake season! Yay! But seriously, when he was climbing he got a little wobbly and fell and scraped his knee and didn’t cry or look to me to help him or anything. I’ve been waiting for this day! (the day he quits being a girl and starts acting like a little boy!) :) Anyway, then he found a lady bug, let it walk on him for a short while, then threw it off and started poking at it to try to squish it. I’m so proud!!!

Bella left on Saturday for veecation at Grandma Jo’s. She should be coming back either on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, but I’m not sure yet which day.

Last time she was gone it was really good for Noah because he had one on one time with his parents. At the time we realized that he really starts talking a lot when she’s gone. This time, however, I realized that it’s not that he talks more but it’s that we can hear him more. There aren’t two kids to listen to. I need to be more purposeful about listening to him, rather than just letting it go out the other ear just because it’s mostly baby talk. He’s starting to get more words in there…even if we’re the only ones who can understand him. :)
