Has anyone seen the new show Glee? Apparently there are a lot of people who love it. I for one think it sucks! I watched the pilot and thought it was just so-so. That’s how pilots are though and it seems to be the type of show that grows on you so I gave it another chance.
I watched the next episode last week on hulu and still thought it sucked. I can’t stand shows that have an affair as part of the major story line. I didn’t finish the episode because I just couldn’t bring myself to it, but (possible spoiler here?) the cute young single teacher is in love with the married lead teacher who is in a bad marriage. I wonder where they are going to take that? Ugh! When is hollywood going to quit glamorizing infidelity? Probably never. Which means I will be watching fewer and fewer of their movies/shows!
If anyone watches Glee regularly and they decide to end the nonsense between the two teachers, let me know. I might try watching it again.
Bella’s been in bed for an hour already and is showing NO signs of sleepiness. Between having 2 or 3 loose teeth for the first time ever AND starting First Grade tomorrow how can one possibly get some shut eye?
Noah on the otherhand is three sheets to the wind. But without the alcohol.
For those Moms reading this blog I have a question. How do you find peace and relaxation REGULARLY in your own home when there always seems to be something that needs to be done?
I don’t dwell on it all the time, but every few months I kind of want to freak out because I can’t even sit in my own home and relax. The floor needs to be vacuumed, the kids need help with something, the lawn needs to be mowed, and on and on the list of things goes. Things I could/should be doing rather than just relaxing. And, that’s how my head works. I sit and feel guilty about what else I could be doing. And it’s not like I have to try to think of something. I just look around from where I sit and see all of the things that can be/should be done. It doesn’t matter what time of day or if I just finished cleaning the entire house. There’s ALWAYS something that needs to be done.
So, any thoughts on how to break this? I don’t want a girl’s night out (well, I wouldn’t mind that too), I want to know how to be able to relax and have a peaceful mind IN my own home. With my family. Regularly.

Noah: Mom, I want to gwow up cause I wants to be a teenager.
Me: I don’t want you to be a teenager. I want you to be my baby.
Noah: No, I wants to be a teenager so I tan be big, but my head won’t det any taller.
Me: Well, that’s okay because you have plenty of time to get big and I want you to just be my baby.
Noah: K, I be your baby.
PHEW!
I’m going to start making Bella’s school lunch every day and Eric regular lunches as well. Anyone have any great ideas so I don’t get stuck in a rut before I even start? I am terrible at coming up with lunches. Please keep in mind that Bella won’t have a fridge or microwave to put her stuff in.

Here’s what happens when Noah comes out with his monkey blanket and says, “Momma, can you wap me up in my monkey banket and hold me like a baby?” YES! Gladly!!!

Last night Bella and Noah met Fire Chief Ken Wells at the fair. Today we drove by the fire department and started talking about the Chief when Bella mentioned that if she were older and he wasn’t married she’d want to marry him. Curious, I asked her why. She said that she likes his name (Ken) and he has a nice voice and he looks good. Trying not to giggle about my daughter having a crush on a man who could be her grandpa I asked her what it was about him that looks so good (it’s not like he was in uniform!
) ). She said “I like his moustache and his face looks good. If I was older and he wasn’t married I’d marry him.” So there you have it!
Here’s Fire Chief Ken Wells. Ladies, keep in mind that he’s married. And if he weren’t, an older version of Bella would have dibs. (I’m actually proud of her. He’s a very nice man, and he’s a fireman. Good girl!)

I hate this picture, but at the request of a friend I’m putting it up. This top is my latest creation. I took two t-shirts I had and never wore and turned them in to this. The brown shirt I basically just cut up the middle and cut the bottom few inches off. The black shirt I used to line the middle section, and make the sleeves which I put some decorative ribbing on. And then I added the button and buttonhole.
I got the idea here, from Craftstylish and then changed it to how I wanted to do it (which means no knitting or crocheting).
